Vivek Madhukar (Vivek), the national sales head of Timesjobs said that the Nauk Out offer had worked well for the company. Timesjobs claimed that it had earned 5,000 new customers in 30 days after the launch of the campaign.10 However, by the end of June 2007, nothing more was heard of the 'Nauk Out' offer.

Analysts felt that the claims to the top position by Naukri and Timesjobs suggested that the competition among Indian job portals was getting tougher.11 Some analysts also opined that Timesjobs would benefit if it made its online recruitment process more efficient, instead of taking digs at its competitors.12 It was also said that Naukri could take Timesjobs to court for its advertisements using the 'Naukri' name, but most analysts felt that Naukri would probably just come out with a counter campaign.

While Timesjobs and Naukri were claiming the No. 1 position, Monster announced the launch of a video resume uploading facility in June 2007. The video resume uploading facility was expected to change the online recruitment process in India. The facility enabled prospective employers to watch the candidate's presentation skills online before calling him/her for an interview. The video resume facility was expected to help in speeding up the recruitment process and in reducing the costs involved in the conventional recruitment processes.13
